Bulgarian footballer Kiril Despodov will miss a series of matches due to a sports injury, which was confirmed through specialized medical examinations. The diagnosed muscle strain in the buttocks area necessitates a forced pause of approximately one month.
The sports incident occurred during the team's training camp in the Netherlands, where the national player underwent physical exertion. The nuclear magnetic resonance conducted in a Greek medical clinic definitively confirmed the diagnosis.
The official statement from PAOK Thessaloniki club confirms that Despodov will be absent for the next three to four weeks. This means the footballer will miss critical matches, including the third qualifying round of the Europa League against Austrian Wolfsberger AC on August 7.
Despite the temporary withdrawal, specialists are optimistic that the player will be fully recovered and ready for the home match against Larissa on August 23 in the upcoming season of the Greek championship.
