The German edition Bild revealed an extremely confidential document prepared by Ukrainian military departments, addressed to the new government of Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The detailed list covers three critical areas: air defense, vehicles, and electronic countermeasures.
Among the priority requests are four new firing installations from the IRIS-T system, accompanied by an impressive arsenal of 2000 guided missiles. Specifically, the Ukrainian side stated a need for 1500 missiles for the medium-range IRIS-T SLM and an additional 500 for the short-range IRIS-T SLS, along with 200,000 40mm ammunition.
The armored component includes ambitious requests: 1000 mine protection vehicles, 200 tracked platforms, 30 armored demining units, and up to 30 engineering armored machines of the WiSENT model. Additionally, Kyiv requested 200 high-mobility vehicles for special operational forces.
Anti-drone and reconnaissance protection is implemented through an order of 1000 GPS jammers and 200 mobile ground radars for target indication. Military experts and representatives of the German defense industry confirmed the authenticity of the document.
The new German government adopted a strategy of not officially publishing details of weapon deliveries, aiming to maintain the element of surprise and prevent potential Russian countermeasures. Previously, Chancellor Merz had already discussed the issue of strengthening Ukrainian air defense with US President Donald Trump.
