Four young people were injured in a serious road accident that occurred late last night in the Burgas region. The incident, which happened just before midnight, has raised serious concerns about road safety for young and inexperienced drivers.

Details of the crash near Pomorie

Around 11:36 PM, on the road connecting the Pomorie villages of Medovo and Bata, a Burgas-registered passenger car, a "Opel Corsa", was involved in a single-vehicle accident. According to information from the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Burgas, the driver of the car was an 18-year-old woman who had only had her driver's license for six months. Initial data suggests the incident occurred after the driver entered a left turn at an inappropriate speed. As a result, she lost control of the vehicle, which overturned multiple times before stopping in a nearby agricultural field next to the road.

In addition to the young driver, there were three other passengers in the car—two boys and one girl. All of them are residents of the village of Bata, Pomorie Municipality. Despite the seriousness of the crash and the visible damage to the car, all four young people were transported to the hospital. Fortunately, their lives are not in danger. Police at the scene determined that the car was completely destroyed and the road was littered with debris, which required a temporary restriction of movement. Emergency and police teams arrived quickly at the scene to provide assistance and clarify the circumstances of the incident.

This accident once again draws attention to the risks associated with inexperienced drivers. It happened just a month after a similar incident shook Sunny Beach. In August of this year, a young ATV driver hit five pedestrians in the resort complex.

The injured included three children, one woman, and one man. All of them were hospitalized with various injuries. As of this report, two of the injured still remain in the hospital for treatment. These two cases highlight the growing problem of road safety, especially when it comes to young people who are just gaining experience behind the wheel.
