The house of the creator of the Sea Garden in Varna, Anton Novak, is neglected and falling apart. For years, there has been an idea to transform it into a visitor center with a museum section.
However, the announced public procurement failed because the companies did not meet the requirement to work with objects that are part of the immovable cultural heritage.
The municipality is looking for a project contractor, after which it will also find a builder to renovate the house with funding from the municipal budget.
The visitor center will be a branch of the Museum of New History of Varna.
Eng. Plamen Kitipov, Deputy Mayor of Varna: "It is planned to have an exhibition hall, where the furnishings will be authentic from that period, to give an idea of the conditions in which Anton Novak lived and worked. In addition, there will be a hall for Czech influence in the appearance of Varna, there will be multimedia, an exhibition."
