Career Forum 2026: Burgas University and the Labor Bureau Join Forces for the Tourism Sector

Burgas Free University "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov" launched "Career Forum 2026", organized by the professional field "Tourism". For the fourth consecutive year, students had the opportunity for direct dialogue with over 20 leading tourism organizations to make their informed choice for a job position for the upcoming summer season. The rector of the university, Prof. Sotir Sotirov, emphasized that the initiative is key to establishing real and useful contact between education and business.

Efforts to connect employers and job seekers continue with a specialized job fair in the tourism, hotel and restaurant sector. It will be held on March 26 at 10:00 a.m. in the building of the Military Club in Burgas, announced the local Directorate "Labor Office".

A BTA check on online job search platforms found an increase in the number of ads for positions of office assistants, animators, warehouse workers, cashiers and service personnel in tourist sites on the Black Sea coast. The remuneration for head waiters varies between 760 and 1020 euros, while for assistant waiters it reaches up to 760 euros. For managerial staff in the restaurant sector, the announced monthly salaries are in the range of 1530 to 2550 euros.

In the "Sunny Beach" resort, where the greatest demand for staff for commercial establishments in the Burgas region is concentrated, the average remuneration for cashiers and sellers in food chains is approximately 1280 euros.
