In an expert analysis presented to the Bulgarian National Radio, Yonko Chuklev - a member of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, outlined the large-scale challenges and potential opportunities for our country in the context of the upcoming entry into the Eurozone.

The key message of the economic expert is categorical: "It's time to roll up our sleeves and develop the national capital market". His recommendation comes immediately before a discussion forum organized by the Ministry of Innovation and Growth, dedicated to European monetary integration.

Chuklev emphasized the fundamental role of capital markets, noting that in developed economies, the main part of investments is realized through them. According to him, the Eurozone is a strategic instrument whose effective use depends entirely on national management decisions.

Among the priority sectors that need targeted support, the expert pointed out: "Food and Beverages", "Bulgarian Cosmetics", "Consumer Electronics" and "Mechanical Engineering". He critically noted that the current measures to support exporters are fragmented and difficult for businesses to understand.

Institutions are identified as a key factor in ensuring a smooth economic transition. Chuklev emphasized that active institutional support can guarantee minimal price fluctuations and maximum stability during the integration process.

Analyzing the geopolitical context, the expert noted the temporary nature of current trade challenges. "Tariffs and consequences of the conflict in Ukraine will likely be relevant in the next 3-5 years," he predicted, while simultaneously emphasizing the existence of significant market opportunities.

His expert assessment presents the Eurozone not just as a financial mechanism, but as a strategic platform for attracting investments, retaining qualified personnel, and expanding the export potential of the Bulgarian economy.

Chuklev's position corresponds with the broader national debate on economic integration, offering specific, practically oriented recommendations for maximizing the benefits of the upcoming membership.
