A heavy goods vehicle created a serious problem on the "Trakia" motorway, causing a temporary stop in traffic in a section of the key transport artery. The incident, which occurred between the 93rd and 94th kilometer in the direction of Burgas, seriously hampered traffic after the truck broke down and occupied the entire roadway.
The situation that unfolded at the scene was tense. The accumulation of vehicles in both directions was visible.
The spokesperson of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior - Pazardzhik, Miroslav Stoyanov, confirmed the information. He announced that traffic in the affected section has been stopped, which necessitated urgent measures to reroute traffic.
Currently, traffic is being diverted along a bypass route, passing through Pazardzhik and the Gelemenovo road junction. "Traffic Police" teams are at the scene of the incident to regulate traffic and facilitate the movement of vehicles.
The police appeal to all drivers to be especially careful when driving, to adjust their speed to the road conditions and to take into account the meteorological situation.
