U.S. fighter jets intercepted two aircraft that entered a temporary flight restriction zone around President Donald Trump's golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) confirmed that F-16 fighter jets intercepted the aircraft and escorted them safely out of the restricted airspace on Tuesday. The military did not specify how many fighter jets were involved in the operation.
Air traffic restrictions are regularly imposed around locations where U.S. presidents are staying. Violations occur periodically, with many cases involving small civilian aircraft.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command once again urged pilots to check active airspace restrictions before every flight.
