Health minister Katya Ivkova told parliament that a decision on pay for health workers is ready and will be made public together with the draft 2027 state budget.
On 20 October, Ivkova proposed pay of €1,550 for trainee doctors on state-funded places. Young doctors had a protest planned for the same evening.

This time the minister was answering oral questions from members of parliament's health committee. The question on pay came from Nikolay Denkov of the We Continue the Change parliamentary group.
The finance ministry will present the draft budget tomorrow at 1pm in the Maxima Hall of the University of National and World Economy.
Changes to Ordinance 1 of 2015 on gaining a specialty in healthcare appeared in the State Gazette a few days ago. Trainees on state-funded places in clinical specialties will get at least €1,550 a month.
Ivkova said young medics must be kept because they are the future of the country, and everyone wants someone to treat them years from now.
The minister will meet trainee doctors next week.
