Ivaylo Mirchev from "Yes, Bulgaria" announced that the party will be a clear opposition to the government and will strive for unity with DSB and "We Continue the Change". He emphasized the need for a joint presidential candidate and the fight against the "Borisov-Peevski" model.

"We will be a fairly clear opposition to this government," said the co-chairman of “Yes, Bulgaria“ Ivaylo Mirchev on Bulgarian National Television (BNT).

There's a clear statement from “Progressive Bulgaria“ that the "Borisov-Peevski" model must be destroyed. "We can set conditions for the Supreme Judicial Council and will require that the people who are elected there not be dependent on those they are currently with," Mirchev also pointed out.

According to him, there is currently no separation of powers in Bulgaria.

Mirchev also commented that a union between “Yes, Bulgaria,“ “Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria“ (DSB) and “We Continue the Change“ is possible if all these entities agree.

"We as a coalition performed well, but in the elections people want to see a consolidated political project," he pointed out.  Ivaylo Mirchev explained that what they have proposed is a common political entity and a roadmap to it.

BTA reminds that last week the National Council of “Yes, Bulgaria“ adopted a decision, assigning the party to propose to (DSB and “We Continue the Change“) a draft coalition agreement for discussion and adoption, which the coalition still does not have.

“We must have a common candidate for president. I am sure that our community will choose a strong one,“ Mirchev further commented and described the current caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov as “perhaps the most successful Bulgarian caretaker Prime Minister“.
