A historic success for Burgas: The first municipal IB school in Bulgaria

The Professional High School of Computer Programming and Innovation (PGKPI) in Burgas has achieved a significant milestone – the school has officially received accreditation for the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. This makes it the first municipal school in the country to offer this globally recognized educational model.

"We were approved! This is a historic success not only for the school but also for Burgas," stated the city's mayor, Dimitar Nikolov.

What does the accreditation include?

The IB diploma opens doors to the most prestigious universities in the world. The program focuses on analytical thinking and independent work by students. The success is further complemented by the new Center for Excellence at the high school, which offers a modern base for training in the IT sector.
