Footage of the arrest of influencer Stoyan Kolev by Spanish authorities has appeared on the social network TikTok. In the video, shared on his personal profile, at least three police officers can be seen entering the room and proceeding to handcuff him, while the arrested man insists on his innocence in Spanish. Media reports state that extradition proceedings to Bulgaria are underway, pending formal confirmation of the arrest by Spanish authorities, so that he may face trial in his home country.
An indictment has been filed against Kolev for a number of offenses for which he must answer:
- Driving under the influence of cocaine and road rage: On June 16, on the Trakia Motorway, he drove recklessly at high speed, endangering other drivers and brandishing an air rifle.
- Hooliganism in the courthouse: On June 19, immediately after his precautionary measure was set at the Pazardzhik Courthouse, he displayed hooligan behavior, insulting citizens and court security officers.
We remind you that Kolev's flight began on August 24, when he removed his electronic tracking bracelet and left the address where he was serving his measure, even broadcasting a video of the process itself. As a result of these systematic violations, two days after his escape, the Pazardzhik District Court ordered his remand in custody—the strictest precautionary measure—at the request of the prosecutor's office.
