After a dramatic incident that shook the Sunny Beach tourist resort, the three-year-old boy who was injured in a severe collision with an ATV is in a stable condition and recovering. This was officially announced by the University Hospital for Active Treatment (UMBAL) - Burgas. Despite the initial severe injuries, doctors are optimistic about the child's full recovery.

The incident, which happened on August 14, caused a wide public outcry, once again putting the issue of the safety of rented vehicles in resort areas on the agenda. In the collision with the motorized ATV, driven by an 18-year-old youth, a total of five people were injured, including three children.

The hospital in Burgas clarified that the boy is expected to be moved from the intensive care unit, which is a clear sign of the significant improvement in his health. The forecasts of the medical specialists are encouraging, as they expect the child to recover completely from his injuries.

Mother remains in intensive care with critical vitals

Unlike the child, his mother's condition remains unchanged and extremely worrying. She is still in the intensive care unit, and doctors continue to fight for her life, maintaining her critical vital signs.

"According to information about the incident provided by the police, the driver of the ATV explained that the vehicle's brakes were faulty. According to him, he noticed the problem immediately after renting it."

This claim raises serious questions about the control and technical condition of ATVs and other similar vehicles that are rented out in popular tourist destinations.

While the investigation into the case continues, the public is anxiously following the development of events, with the main hope being for the full recovery of both the boy and his mother. The incident once again calls for stricter regulations and security measures to prevent future tragedies, especially in areas where the safety of pedestrians and tourists is of paramount importance.
