International Recognition for IAG in Burgas
An official visit brought together representatives of state and local authorities at the International Armored Group (IAG) armored vehicle plant in Burgas. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Defense Katerina Gramatikova, the Consul of the Republic of Turkey in Burgas Tolga Orkun, Col. John Dawkins, and representatives of local institutions.
"This distinction is a sign of your high professional achievements and personal qualities," stated the Mayor of Burgas, Dimitar Nikolov, in a congratulatory address to Dr. Anton Stefov.
"Golden Dove of Peace" Order
During the visit, the company's director, Dr. Anton Stefov, was awarded the "Golden Dove of Peace" order. The distinction was presented by Major General Pavlet Naydenov for significant contributions to the dissemination of peace initiatives and support for UN programs.
The IAG Plant – Class A Investment
The facility in Burgas, located on an area of 150,000 sq.m. in the "9th Kilometer" industrial zone, is a key site for the company's international network. IAG, founded by the Bulgarian Dr. Anton Stefov, specializes in:
- Production of armored civilian and tactical vehicles
- Specialized armored ambulances
- Vehicles for the transport of valuables and cash
- Armored SUVs, trucks, and buses
In 2023, the company received a Class A investor certificate, solidifying the role of Burgas as a strategic hub for high-tech armored vehicle production.
