New opportunities for employment and social integration
On the occasion of International Workers' Day, caretaker Minister of Labor and Social Policy Hasan Ademov highlighted the role of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MLSP) as a guarantor of labor rights and social solidarity.
"Solidarity in a society is extremely important because, without it, it falls apart," the minister stated.
Key labor market measures
Ademov pointed out two main initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable groups:
- National Employment Action Plan: Through state funding, over 1,000 unemployed people will start working.
- "Employment without Barriers": A program funded by European resources that provides employment for 15,000 people over two years.
Control and protection of labor rights
The Executive Agency "General Labor Inspectorate" remains a key body for ensuring safe working conditions. Since the beginning of the year, over 15,500 inspections have been carried out, leading to more than 3,100 sanctions for violations. The minister emphasized that any workplace accident is unacceptable in the 21st century.
Support for people with disabilities
The ministry is actively developing the social economy, providing high-tech assistive devices and support for starting business ventures through the Agency for People with Disabilities. The goal is to ensure more accessible labor and full integration into society.
