We have sufficient fuel reserves in the state reserve, and the owners of the gas stations also confirm that they have stocks and that the market is calm. Therefore, if we see a hasty increase in prices, we must clearly say that it will not be the result of a physical shortage or a real reflection of the world markets, but mainly of non-market behavior. This was stated by the caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov before the start of the regular government meeting.

Gyurov stressed that Bulgaria receives oil and fuel from destinations that are not affected by the fighting, and supplies to the country have not been interrupted. According to him, the refinery in Burgas has sufficient quantities of oil, purchased before the start of the conflict and before the rise in prices on the world markets.

In order for the price increase to be reflected in our country, new supplies at higher prices must be made, and at the moment this is not necessary, he pointed out. The Prime Minister added that the state reserve has sufficient reserves, and the owners of gas stations have confirmed that they have stocks and the market is calm.

He warned that fears could create an artificial crisis and assured that the state will not allow the panic to turn into a tool for profit at the expense of citizens. The Prime Minister said that he expects rapid information and decisive actions from the institutions.
