BURGAS – A large-scale fire broke out this afternoon in the land of the Burgas village of Konstantinovo, which is located in the municipality of Kameno. The huge flames, ignited by dry grass and trees, are spreading quickly and are already burning on several different fronts, which complicates the work of the teams.
Firefighters battle the flames
According to information from the Burgas fire safety department, four teams of firefighters have been sent to battle the fire. They are trying to control the elements and prevent their further spread. High columns of smoke are visible for kilometers, and the smell of burning hangs in the air. Local residents are following the development of the situation with anxiety.
For now, despite the seriousness of the situation, the fire department reassures that there is no direct danger to nearby settlements. The teams are working hard to keep the fire away from homes and buildings. However, the tension in the area remains high, as every gust of wind can change the direction of the flames.
It is expected to become clear soon whether it will be necessary to send additional equipment or reinforcements to ensure the fire is fully contained and the perimeter is secured.
