The International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament SARDINIA CUP in Italy turned into a true triumph for the Sports Club "Beroe" from Stara Zagora. In the prestigious competition, which captured the attention of over 200 gymnasts from various clubs, the club's pupils demonstrated exceptional technical preparation and artistry.
The team achieved remarkable results in all age categories - junior girls, senior girls, and women. A total of 11 athletes returned with prestigious awards, which eloquently speak of the high mastery of the Stara Zagora club.
Among the most prominent names are Evelyn Teneva with two bronze medals in the women's category and Pavlina Gencheva, who won one gold and two bronze medals in her age group. Impressive achievements were also recorded by Maria Georgieva with four gold awards, Valeria Racheva with three gold medals, and Ana-Maria Ivanova with three gold and one silver medal.
In addition to the medals, three athletes received special individual prizes that highlighted their exceptional qualities. Ella Chelik was named Miss "Sweet Gymnast", Ana-Maria Ivanova won the title of Miss "Elegant Gymnast", and Siyana Velkova grabbed the prize for Miss "Expressive Gymnast".
Behind the success stands the professional team of the club, led by senior coach and president Antoaneta Terzieva, together with coaches Steliana Reshitarova, Palmira Chorbadzhieva, Tatyana Georgieva, and Magdalena Gencheva. "Our girls showed that they can compete worthily at an international level and glorify Stara Zagora," they share.
This success comes just a month after the city hosted the "Fairy under the Linden Trees" tournament, which brought together over 1,100 rhythmic gymnastics athletes, further consolidating Stara Zagora's reputation as a national center for this sport.
