Foreign Minister Georgi Georgiev welcomed efforts for peace in Ukraine, emphasizing Ukraine's decisive role in the negotiations.

According to Georgiev, the compromise should be determined by Ukraine, as a reduction in the size of the army or territorial concessions would be risky for European security. He added that the EU should have a decisive say in determining the future of the continent.

Georgiev stressed that the peace plan should be a basis for negotiations, reflecting the views of the countries in the conflict, but one should not forget who the aggressor is. He also condemned the incursion of Russian drones, which he said were provocations aimed at weakening NATO.

The minister stressed that actions are being taken by the EU and NATO to increase operational capability and defense. He concluded that we are modernizing the armed forces and investing in defense capabilities.
