Ukrainian forces struck the Kamensky Combine, a Russian military plant in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky in the Rostov region, overnight on 31 October, Ukraine's General Staff said. A fire has been confirmed in the finished goods warehouse.
The plant makes solid rocket fuel for ammunition used in the Uragan, Smerch and Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers. The fuel is also meant for a number of other missile systems and air-delivered weapons.
The attack used strike drones and missile troops, including Neptune coastal missile systems of the Ukrainian navy. Four production workshops were damaged.
Strikes on solid rocket fuel production reduce the Russian army's ability to shell Ukrainian towns and villages with multiple rocket launchers.
The General Staff said Ukraine is exercising its right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter. It said Ukrainian forces are systematically undermining Russia's military and economic capacity to force it to end its armed aggression against Ukraine.
Four Russian army supply depots were also hit, near Khartsyzk and Dokuchaievsk in the Donetsk region, Novovasylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region and Novoaidar in the Luhansk region.
