Bulgarian Police Arrest 11 in Varna for Drug Trafficking: Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Over 23,000 Euros Seized

The General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (GDCOC) conducted a specialized operation in Varna, arresting 11 individuals for drug trafficking. Fentanyl, methamphetamine, marijuana, and a significant amount of money were seized.

Employees of the General Directorate “Combatting Organized Crime” (GDBOP) in Varna arrested 11 people in 24 hours during a specialized operation against the distribution of drugs in the city, conducted on February 25, the directorate announced.

Among those arrested is the main dealer of fentanyl and methamphetamine in the area. He was arrested during a deal with his distributor, GDBOP specifies.

The materials on the case have been reported to the Regional Prosecutor's Office - Varna. Charges have been brought against four people, who have been detained by a prosecutor's order for up to 72 hours. 

During the actions of the law enforcement agencies, narcotic substances were seized - fentanyl pressings weighing 182.77 grams, methamphetamine 21.10 grams, marijuana 59.165 grams, mobile phones, scales and 23,730 euros in cash.

BTA recalls that at the beginning of the month, during a police operation in Varna, a man and a woman were arrested, in whose home fentanyl and hashish were found.
