Natural gas prices in Europe are increasing. October futures for TTF in the Netherlands reached 32.410 euros per megawatt-hour, and Bulgaria is also experiencing a price increase.

Gas is getting more expensive: Natural gas prices rise in European markets

Sofia – Natural gas prices in European markets are noting an increase, which causes concern among experts and consumers. According to the latest data from the international exchange ICE, as of 11 a.m. Bulgarian time, October futures for natural gas at the TTF hub in the Netherlands are trading at a level of 32.410 euros per megawatt-hour.

Trading today started at a value of 32.357 euros per megawatt-hour. This represents an increase compared to the close of the exchange yesterday, when the price was 31.678 euros per megawatt-hour.

At the same time, the natural gas market in Bulgaria is also showing a tendency towards higher prices. On the platform of "Gas Hub Balkan", the price of natural gas in the "day-ahead" segment with a delivery day for today, October 23, is 66.98 leva per megawatt-hour, which represents an increase of over 2 percent.

In the "within-day" segment, the exchange closed yesterday at a price of 66.54 leva per megawatt-hour. The reference price in this segment for today is 66.98 leva per megawatt-hour.
