The history of the first „Sound and Color“ plein air dates back to 1999. Over these decades, a vibrant and complete creative community has been built, uniting over 190 established authors from different generations across the country. They have created a rich collection exceeding 600 works of contemporary Bulgarian art. According to tradition, these works are presented to the Burgas public specifically on Independence Day.
