The "Day Ahead" market segment of the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (BIEE) registered significant changes in price levels and traded electricity volumes. As of today, the average trading price reaches 152.98 leva (VAT excluded) per megawatt-hour, which represents another trend towards reduction.

The concluded deals cover an internal market volume of 85,618.10 megawatt-hours, scheduled for delivery tomorrow - August 11. For comparison, last Monday (August 4) the market value was 168.21 leva (VAT excluded), which means a decrease of 9.05 percent with a lower traded volume of 74,048.20 megawatt-hours.

An interesting highlight is the formed price for business consumers, which today was established at a level of 98.01 leva (VAT excluded). Experts note that lower price levels during the weekend are a direct consequence of traditionally lower electricity consumption.
