Wholesale electricity prices for businesses drop by over 11%

Following the market close, the average electricity price for tomorrow is 152.78 euros per MWh, marking an 11.36% decrease from the previous day.

The average electricity price on the Day-Ahead market segment of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) for delivery tomorrow, August 28, is 152.78 euros per megawatt-hour excluding VAT. The data was recorded following the official close of trading.

The price represents a decrease of 11.36 percent compared to the previous day, when the average value reached 172.36 euros per megawatt-hour. The total volume of electricity traded amounts to 98,266.90 megawatt-hours.

For the peak consumption period from 09:00 to 20:00 tomorrow, the price is 123.37 euros per megawatt-hour. For off-peak energy, covering the intervals from 01:00 to 08:00 and from 21:00 to 24:00, the average value is 182.18 euros per megawatt-hour.

In the Intraday market segment, the weighted average price for 60-minute products is 162.10 euros per megawatt-hour excluding VAT. For 15-minute products, the daily weighted average price is 160.48 euros per megawatt-hour excluding VAT.
