Electricity Prices Rise: BNEB Prices on December 3rd

On December 3rd, electricity on the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (BNEB) will be more expensive for businesses. The average price is 321.30 BGN per megawatt-hour, which is an increase of 12.93% compared to the previous day.

At an average price of 321.30 leva (excluding VAT) per megawatt-hour, electricity was traded today on the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (BINE) in the "Day-Ahead" market segment, according to data after the exchange closed. The transactions are based on tomorrow's delivery day - December 3rd.

The energy exchange closed yesterday at an average price of 284.52 BGN per megawatt-hour. This means that electricity for Bulgarian businesses will be 12.93 percent more expensive tomorrow compared to today's price.

The average price of peak energy (09:00-20:00) for tomorrow is 406.27 BGN per megawatt-hour, while off-peak energy (01:00-08:00; 21:00-24:00) was traded at an average of 236.33 BGN per megawatt-hour.

Data from BINE show that a total of 87,195.47 megawatt-hours of electricity were sold.

In the "Within-Day" market segment, the weighted average price on BINE for the 60-minute products at the moment is 256.74 BGN (excluding VAT) per megawatt-hour.

For the 15-minute products, the weighted average daily price at this time is 249.67 BGN (excluding VAT) per megawatt-hour.
