Captain First Rank Vasil Danov from the Atlantic Council of Bulgaria categorically stated in an exclusive interview with the Bulgarian National Radio that he does not expect a meeting between Presidents Putin and Zelensky, as Russia is actually seeking complete capitulation of Ukraine.

In an extremely sharp criticism of Russian diplomacy, the expert emphasized the absurdity of Russian demands, which are deliberately constructed to undermine serious peace negotiations. According to Danov's words, only decisive actions by the United States, NATO, and the European Union can offer a real perspective for ending military operations.

Commenting on the third round of negotiations in Istanbul, the military analyst pointed out that the exchange of prisoners of war should not be resolved at a high political level. He emphasized that traditionally such issues are settled between field commanders or commanders of divisions and armies.

Danov paid special attention to protests in Ukraine, defining citizens' concerns about corruption as legitimate, but without concrete evidence. He revealed how Russian propaganda channels skillfully manipulate these social sentiments.

"No one is sending Ukraine bags of money or gold bars," the expert was categorical. He emphasized that the military equipment and weapons delivered by Western allies are strictly controlled and cannot be sold or resold.

The analyst warned that the Ukrainian government must pay serious attention to the protests and not give reasons for fear of corruption. At the same time, he revealed how Moscow deliberately uses these internal political tensions to discredit President Zelensky and Ukrainian leadership.

Danov emphasized that post-communist countries like Ukraine and Bulgaria still have challenges with corruption practices, but should not succumb to external manipulations.

The interview, conducted by journalist Snyazhana Ivanova in the "12+3" program, provides an in-depth and critical view of the current geopolitical situation around the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
