A delegation from the European Investment Bank (EIB), led by Vice-President Marek Mora, visited Burgas. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the progress of strategic projects related to education and child healthcare.
During the visit, the EIB representatives expressed admiration for the new children's hospital – a project of great public importance. The hospital is equipped with modern medical equipment and will introduce an innovative model of work.
The delegation included: Vice-President Marek Mora, Chief Financial Advisor Borislava Gabrovska, Head of the Sofia office Teodor Radonov, and Advisor Ruxandra Serdean-Verde.
The guests gave high marks to the construction of the student campus and congratulated Mayor Dimitar Nikolov for the realization of the children's hospital.
The children's hospital „St. Anastasia“ was presented by Dr. Blagomir Zdravkov and Dr. Toma Tomov, who emphasized that the hospital will offer modern care.
The participants in the meeting emphasized the flexibility and partnership approach of the EIB.
„Thanks to the support of the European Investment Bank, we received the necessary courage to start this project“, said Mayor Dimitar Nikolov. According to him, the EIB's support mechanism is extremely effective and flexible.
„In a public project, the funds are not the most important thing – especially when it comes to child healthcare. Of key importance are the attitude, flexibility, and expertise that we received“, Nikolov added.
