One of the leading players in the CSKA squad – James Eto’o – has officially renewed his contract with the club. The 25-year-old midfielder signed a new long-term deal with the "Reds", which will keep him at the "Bulgarian Army" stadium until the summer of 2029.

The Cameroonian arrived at CSKA in 2024 from the team of Botev Plovdiv. Since then, he has played 68 matches in all competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing 19 assists for his teammates.

It was James Eto’o who scored the decisive penalty in the Bulgarian Cup final just a few days ago, bringing the trophy to the "Reds" and further solidifying his status as one of the key players on the team.

"CSKA wishes James Eto’o many more successes, goals, and trophies in the red jersey, as well as unforgettable European nights at the renovated 'Bulgarian Army' stadium," the club wrote on the occasion of the signing of the new contract.
