From today, February 15th, Open Days begin for future military doctors and nurses at the Military Medical Academy (MMA). The initiative will continue until February 20th, offering an opportunity for career orientation and familiarization with the advantages of the training.
The training program is carried out jointly between the Military Medical Academy, the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, and the Medical University of Varna. Graduates receive two diplomas – a Master's degree in "Medicine" and a Bachelor's degree in "Organization and Management of Military Formations at the Tactical Level".
Students are fully state-funded during their studies, not paying tuition fees, having free accommodation, meals, medical and uniform clothing, as well as medical services. During their studies, they receive a monthly scholarship between 400 and 500 euros. After graduation, they have the opportunity for specialization at the MMA and further qualification in Bulgaria and NATO countries.
Training for military nurses is also free, with provided accommodation, meals, uniform, and guaranteed employment.
The Open Days will be attended by the head of the MMA, Major General Prof. Dr. Ventsislav Mutafchiyski, as well as doctors and trainees from the program.

In October 2025, the solemn act of assigning the first officer rank to the cadets of the 2025 graduating class "Slivnishko-Dragomanski" – specialization "Medical Support of the Armed Forces" of the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy will take place.
