There is no direct threat to national security

At the moment, there is no direct threat to our national security, Minister of Defense Dimitar Stoyanov stated to journalists. In response to a question regarding the need for "Patriot" systems, he was categorical that there is currently no need for the deployment of additional squadrons.

"At the moment, there is no direct threat to our national security; we do not need the deployment of any additional squadron," Stoyanov emphasized.

Investments in "Graf Ignatievo"

The Minister visited the "Graf Ignatievo" air base together with Vice President Iliana Iotova. He specified that nearly 600 million levs have been invested in the large-scale reconstruction of the base, and five more projects are set to be started.
