The fashion industry in Bulgaria is entering a dynamic period of digital transformation, with electronic clothing sales outlining an impressive upward trajectory. Independent market research indicates that the sector will generate nearly 373.63 million US dollars in revenue by 2025.
Statistical data reveals a deepening trend towards online trade. Monthly electronic revenues in June 2025 have reached 18 million dollars, which represents a slight contraction of 3% compared to the previous month. Despite this short-term decline, experts forecast a steady average annual growth rate of around 8.38%.
Analysts expect the share of digital sales to rise to an impressive 15.9-20% of the total fashion market before the end of the current year. This process is fueled by several key factors: accelerated digitalization, the entry of small manufacturers into e-commerce, and growing online consumer demand.
The sector's development goes beyond purely quantitative dimensions. Parallel to the growth, investments are being observed in sustainable production models, personalized technological solutions, and support for local designers. Forecasts suggest that by 2029, the market value may reach an impressive 515.6 million dollars.
This evolution outlines a large-scale change in consumer behavior and business strategies in the Bulgarian fashion market, laying the foundations for a modern, technology-oriented industry.
