Educational and Cultural Exchange

Forty-five children – 24 from Taraclia district and 21 from the Autonomous Territorial Formation of Gagauzia, Moldova – spent ten unforgettable days at the Yastrebino children's camp in Bulgaria. The stay was held from August 1 to 10 and was organized with the assistance of the Ministry of Education and Science under Decree No. 103 of the Council of Ministers.

Rich Program and Meetings

During the visit, participants visited numerous historical and cultural landmarks: the Etara Ethnographic Museum, Shipka Peak, medieval capitals Pliska, Preslav and Veliko Tarnovo, the Madara Rider, the House of Cyrillic, Orlova Chuka Cave and the Basarbovo Rock Monastery. The children also enjoyed time for games and relaxation in the camp's pool.

New Friendships

The young guests from Moldova met with Bulgarian children from Ukraine, with whom they shared experiences and formed new friendships. According to the Bulgarian language teacher from the Olympiy Panov Lyceum in Taraclia – Maya Buyukli, the initiative helps them apply their knowledge of History and Culture of the Bulgarian People in practice.

Gratitude and Tradition

The children and their leaders expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Science, the camp's management and staff, director Krasi Vladimirova, travel organizer Dr. Maria Delibaltova and the drivers from 'MAX TUR' for safe travels and good treatment.

"Yastrebino Camp has for years been receiving children from Gagauzia and the Taraclia district, providing an opportunity for recreation in nature, cultural exchange and enriching knowledge about Bulgarian heritage," commented the Bulgarian studies expert.
