Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) will hold ten passenger trains at stations for up to 60 minutes when the clocks go back for winter. The stops will be on the night of 24 to 25 October, from Saturday to Sunday.
Each train will wait at the first station on its route as the clock nears 4am.
BDZ says this is usual when the clocks go back. Without the stop, the trains would reach the next stations too early and throw the timetable off, including for trains that connect with them.
Staff at ticket offices and at "Information" desks can give timetable details, as can the national information line on 02/931 11 11.
