BDZ is temporarily changing train services because of the rebuilding of the rail junction around Sofia Central Station. The changes run from 00:00 on 2 November to 23:59 on 18 March 2027, the company said.
Passengers on trains 3621 and 8627 from Sofia to Burgas, and on 8626 and 8612 from Burgas to Sofia, will travel straight to and from Central Station without changing trains.
The same goes for train 493 from Sofia to Kapikule, 8657 from Sofia to Varna, 8656 from Varna to Sofia and 1620 from Plovdiv to Sofia.
Tracks 1 to 11 will close. Trains to Petrich will use dead-end tracks 2, 4 and 6. Trains to Bankya and Dragoman will also leave from dead-end track 6. Trains to Plovdiv will leave from track 12 and trains to Mezdra from track 13.
On 27 September we reported that new Alstom Coradia Stream trains have run on the Sofia–Burgas route since 26 September, and that train 3620 leaves Burgas at 05:25.
Passengers on all other trains that start or end at Central Station will take a shuttle train to or from Poduyane passenger station and Iskar station, where their journey continues or ends.
