DPS leader Delyan Peevski will notify the prosecutor's office regarding the statements made by Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev, he told journalists in the parliamentary corridors. The actions are prompted by accusations that funds from companies involved in the delivery of guardrails were diverted to a «piggy bank company», which was used to pay for a politician's flights.
«Everything said today is a fabrication, yet another episode of „Demerdzhiev Pictures“,» stated Delyan Peevski. He emphasized that he and his family have documentation for all their flights and paid for them personally. According to the DPS leader, neither he nor his family has participated in any public procurement for any reason.
Regarding the government's proposed measures to reduce fuel prices, Peevski stated that they are insufficient. «We will see if the measures are sufficient and effective once they are implemented,» he added.
