Inspiration and code: CODE@BURGAS 2026 gathered the best young programmers
With much inspiration and talent, the eighth edition of the student programming competition CODE@BURGAS 2026 took place on May 16th. Organized by the Burgas Free University and the Municipality of Burgas, the event once again proved that the interest in technology among young people is stronger than ever.
The competition is not just a race – it is a stage for logic, persistence, and creativity.
Participants were divided into three age groups (A, B, and C), covering students from 4th to 12th grade. A total of 26 young people from 11 educational institutions in the country faced complex algorithmic tasks. Thanks to the codeburgas.com platform, solutions were evaluated in real-time, which made the competition extremely dynamic.
Why is CODE@BURGAS important for the IT sector?
- Early development: Stimulates algorithmic thinking from an early stage.
- Real environment: Uses professional automatic evaluation systems.
- Community: Gathers the most talented students from high schools of mathematics and academies.
The future of the Bulgarian IT community is in safe hands. CODE@BURGAS 2026 once again underscored that investment in early programming education is the key to success.
