CEC Announces Final Election Results: What Changes?

The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the final election results from Sunday. The distribution of mandates in the 52nd National Assembly (NA) is clear, as is the total number of citizens who voted. The names of the new members of parliament are yet to be revealed.

The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the final results from Sunday's elections, determining the composition of the 52nd National Assembly (NA). The results show the following distribution of mandates:

A total of 3,360,330 citizens voted, of whom 19,233 had invalid ballots. 1,788,630 people voted with paper ballots, and 1,571,588 with machines.

50,733 people voted with the option “I do not support anyone”. There is no elected independent candidate. The 4 percent electoral barrier amounts to 129,600 votes.

The names of the new 240 MPs are expected to be announced on Saturday. President Iliana Yotova is ready to convene the 52nd NA on Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
