The future "Kapkata" park in Pomorie: The Mayor submits four options for consideration
The Mayor of Pomorie, Ivan Aleksiev, has announced a key development regarding the construction of "Kapkata" park in the "Malko soleno ezero" neighborhood. During the 48th session of the Municipal Council, it became clear that a final decision on the vision for the new public space is forthcoming.
"The results of the citizens' vote will be taken into account, but the Municipal Council will make the final decision on the implementation," emphasized Ivan Aleksiev.
What is next for the project?
- Design selection: Municipal councilors will review four options for the park.
- Voice of the citizens: Over 5,000 residents participated in the online survey, with the project by landscape architects Svetlana Taneva and Boryana Tateosova receiving the most support.
- Civic initiative: The Mayor included an alternative project proposed by a citizen in the report, even though it did not participate in the official competition.
An important step towards implementation
Mayor Aleksiev clarified that the implementation of the chosen project requires a contract with a licensed architectural firm in order to prepare a working design in accordance with regulatory requirements. Financing for the site will be provided entirely by the municipal budget.
"Kapkata" park is emerging as an important place for recreation, cultural events, and social interaction, which will change the appearance of the "Malko soleno ezero" neighborhood.
