The Bulgarian Navy announced today the destruction of a damaged surface drone in the Black Sea, about 80 kilometers east of Varna.

The operation, conducted in cooperation with allied forces and assets, was preceded by thorough reconnaissance of the object, which began yesterday, September 15.

According to a press release from the Navy, the drone was found damaged. After a precise assessment of the situation, a decision was made today to destroy it. The procedure was successfully carried out without a secondary explosion being registered, confirming the professionalism and precision of the operation.

Security Operation

To ensure the safety of navigation in the area, a helicopter, a boat, and a Navy ship were involved in the operation.
