Grim statistics: 2 dead and 30 injured in traffic accidents in 24 hours

The Ministry of Interior reports an alarming increase in road accidents in the country. 35 people have lost their lives since the beginning of the month, and the death toll since the start of the year has already reached 127.

Bloody statistics on the roads: 2 dead in 24 hours

Intense traffic and a series of incidents marked the past 24 hours in the country. According to official data from the Ministry of Interior, a total of 25 serious road accidents resulted in two deaths, while another 30 people sustained injuries of varying severity.

The situation in the capital also remains critical: 35 minor accidents and 4 serious crashes were registered, with five people injured.

Tragic incident near Samovodene

Among the fatal incidents is the crash on the Veliko Tarnovo – Ruse road. Around 10:00 PM last night, at the entrance to the village of Samovodene, two passenger cars collided – one with Bulgarian and one with Romanian registration. As a result of the impact, a woman died on the spot.

Increase in victims compared to 2025

Data since the beginning of the year is worrying:

A comparison with the same period in 2025, when there were 111 victims, shows an increase of 16 fatalities among road users. Since the beginning of the current month, 470 incidents have been reported, with 35 victims and 592 injured.
