Recalculation of pensions for working pensioners in 2026 is the main topic of issue 3 of the Information Bulletin of the National Social Security Institute (NOI), the institute said.
The lead article explains how the system works and how pensions are recalculated. It covers the results, changes to the process over the past few years and the effect on the pensions of those affected.
Another article looks at pensions and supplements paid by the Teachers' Pension Fund between 2020 and 2025. It shows how the number of people who get a pension from the fund has changed. It also gives average pensions by year, and the fund's income and spending.
The issue also has a piece on the NOI's regional office in Kardzhali, which works against the abuse of social security rights in the region. It describes the results of checks in recent years and the response to attempts to manipulate and forge documents.
The last article is about countries in North and South America. They aim to make social security services fully user-focused, and are rebuilding the whole system around full digitisation of processes.
The bulletin is published at www.nssi.bg, in the "Publications/NOI Editions" section.
