Burgas Free University will host an open interactive event on the topic of “Digital Finances of the Future” as part of the World Money Week initiative. It will take place on March 19th in the “Iztok” hall of the university. The initiative is organized by the Center for Economic and Management Sciences at Burgas Free University in partnership with the DSK Bank Academy and “Junior Achievement Bulgaria.”

Graduates of Burgas high schools, who are part of the school finance clubs, will participate in the meeting. They will have the opportunity to learn more about the essence of digital finance, the security of online payments, as well as the basic principles of budgeting, saving, and managing personal finances. The possibilities for financing education as an investment in the future will also be considered, as well as the importance of financial literacy as a key skill for young people.

As part of the World Money Week program, students from Burgas Free University will also participate in training activities. They will work on case studies related to personal finance, developed according to the recommendations of “Junior Achievement.”

World Money Week is an international initiative, which started nearly 20 years ago by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. Bulgaria is in the process of joining the organization, and Burgas Free University partners with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on topics related to financial education and economic literacy.
