The Prosecutors' College of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) has officially approved five candidates who will continue to participate in the procedure for electing SJC members from the prosecutors' quota. This was announced by the institution's press center, which clarified that the decision was made during today's session of the college, where the proposed motions were supported with nine votes "in favor."

Following the verification process, the college admitted the following magistrates to participate in the election:

The rapporteur for this agenda item, Ognyan Damyanov, explained the procedural steps following the vote. The decisions will be announced immediately by being published on the official website of the Supreme Judicial Council. At the same time, he specified that the adopted acts are subject to appeal within a three-day period, starting from the moment of their announcement.

BTA recalls that a total of 25 applications were initially submitted for elected SJC members from the prosecutors' quota. The agency plans to follow the entire selection process for members of the Supreme Judicial Council – including those from the National Assembly's quota, as well as those from the judges', prosecutors', and investigators' quotas – through its developing topic titled: "The New Supreme Judicial Council."
