"Burgasbus" EOOD is taking active steps for the smooth introduction of the euro from January 1, 2026. Here's what you need to know:
- Price conversion: From 01.01.2026, the prices of all travel documents will be in euros, recalculated at the official exchange rate.
- Dual circulation (January 2026): During January, passengers will be able to pay in both leva and euros. After that, only in euros.
- Changes in cash desk operating hours: Cashier offices will not be open to customers on 31.12.2025 and 01.01.2026.
- New cashier operating hours: The cash desks at South, West, and Meden Rudnik Bus Stations will open on 02.01.2026 after 10:00 AM. The cash desk in Pomorie opens on 05.01.2026.
- Recommendations for subscriptions: It is recommended to purchase a subscription before 30.12.2025 to avoid inconvenience.
- Validity of subscriptions and packages: Purchased subscriptions and packages are valid until the expiration of the term or the exhaustion of trips.
- Electronic wallets: Amounts in electronic wallets will be automatically converted.
- Temporary lack of validation with bank cards: You will not be able to validate with bank cards on 31.12.2025 and 01.01.2026.
- Vending machines: Vending machines will be temporarily out of service. They are expected to start working again in January.
- Ticket price: From 01.01.2026, the price of a one-way ticket is 0.80 euros (1.56 leva).
- Payments: When paying during the dual circulation period, mixed payments are not accepted – only in leva or only in euros.
"Burgasbus" calls for tolerance and empathy during the transition.
