The jury of the prestigious competition for visual identity of the city candidacy conducted a thorough evaluation of the submitted graphic proposals. The participants presented an impressive palette of artistic concepts that reflect the cultural heritage and modern spirit of the Black Sea city.
Among the candidates, authors from different age groups stand out - from 16-year-old students to established professionals in graphic design. Their works visualized emblematic Burgas locations and symbols, demonstrating the city's rich potential.
The expert jury distinguished three projects by Ralitsa Valeva, Ashkan Sedat, and Georgi Pavlov, with Valeva's project receiving the highest score. However, the Board of the Burgas 2032 Foundation decided that at the present moment, none of the proposals fully meet their requirements.
The organizers showed flexibility and announced that they reserve the right to incorporate elements from the awarded works in the future visual representation of the candidacy. This approach demonstrates their desire to create a maximally authentic and impactful graphic message.
The competition confirmed the impression that Burgas possesses significant creative potential and ambition to prove its candidacy for European Capital of Culture in 2032.
