The situation in the Burgas region is currently characterized by calm, despite the challenges posed by the unfavorable weather conditions. At present, no signals have been received from the municipalities regarding problems or the need for additional assistance. Over the past night, the regional governor, Vladimir Krumov, participated in the round-the-clock duty, demonstrating readiness to react if necessary.
The BG Alert system continues to notify the population in the "Elenite" area, reminding them of potential dangers and the need for increased attention. The regional headquarters remains fully prepared, continuing to closely monitor the development of the situation.
In Nessebar, educational institutions are switching to online work and learning for the next three days. This preventive measure has been introduced due to the unfavorable weather conditions, which include ongoing rainfall.
Tsarevo Municipality issued a warning to residents and guests of the area, urging them to be particularly vigilant due to the ongoing rainfall and dynamic weather conditions. The municipality makes a categorical appeal to citizens to refrain from traveling and to avoid going out without a valid reason.
As a result of the heavy rainfall, October 7th was declared a non-school day for schools and kindergartens throughout the municipality.
Access to the "Elenite" holiday village remains prohibited due to the risk of new flooding. A checkpoint remains in place before the entrance to the resort, as well as 24-hour police security, ensuring the safety of the area.
In Tsarevo and the surrounding areas, the prolonged rain, which did not stop for over 10 hours, necessitated the implementation of preventive security measures. Minutes after 7:00 a.m., access to the "Arapya" campsite was blocked, reports BGNES.
Throughout the night, teams from the police, fire department and emergency safety formations were on duty in Tsarevo, demonstrating readiness to take action if necessary. The teams had to remove a fallen tree on the Lozenets – Tsarevo road, which created difficulties for the passage of vehicles.
Meanwhile, the situation on the Tsarevo – Malko Tarnovo route remains critical. The road has been impassable since Saturday morning, after the bridge near the village of Izgrev collapsed as a result of the heavy rains. Traffic on republican road II-99 in this section has been suspended until further notice, which complicates the transport connection in the area.
