Burgas felt the magic of the Giro d'Italia
Emotions in Burgas reached their peak after the city hosted one of the most exciting events accompanying the prestigious Giro d'Italia cycling race – the mass bike ride titled "Ride Like the Champions".
The initiative turned the central streets into a true celebration, uniting hundreds of cycling enthusiasts, families, and children in a shared passion for sports.
Just before the start of the second stage to Veliko Tarnovo, the atmosphere at Troykata Square was electric. Immediately after the professional cyclists set off, amateurs had the unique chance to ride the first 6 kilometers of the official route.
The Route of Emotions
- Start: Troykata Square – the official Giro arch.
- Route: The first 6 kilometers of the professional route in Burgas.
- Finish: The Sea Casino with a commemorative group photo.
The initiative was non-competitive, with the goal being the shared pleasure of movement. The pink jerseys, smiling faces, and thousands of bicycles turned the city center into a stage worthy of a global sporting event. Although the professionals have already headed toward Veliko Tarnovo, the emotion in Burgas remains alive long after the finish.
