Burgas Municipality has undertaken commitments to develop cycling infrastructure and promote cycling, as part of efforts to reduce carbon emissions. Deputy Mayor Manol Todorov presented the "bike commitments" to the cycling community, which include a general plan for the construction of a connected, safe, and accessible bicycle network, bike parking, and support for cycling events.

The local initiative was presented during "Conversation about the climate after COP30", where cyclists were introduced to the Global Cycling Relay. Svetoslav Mitev spoke about the Bulgarian participation in the COP30 Bike Ride, and Bozhil Kondev presented the key topics from the conference. The event concluded with the film "The COP29 Bike Ride".

This year's edition of the initiative included 20 Bulgarian participants, who covered 480 km from Turkey to Romania, part of a journey through dozens of countries to Belem, Brazil, where COP30 ended. The meeting in Burgas was organized by the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation in partnership with COP Bike Ride and the Burgas Cycling Community.
