With the help of a QR code, Burgas residents participated in the lighting of the Burgas Christmas tree. This event marked the beginning of the traditional concert celebrating the city's holiday - St. Nicholas Day.

Viewers, invited to scan the code, had the opportunity to open an online page with an image of the Christmas tree. By clicking on it, different parts of the tree gradually lit up in real time on their phone screens. The Mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov, some of the participants in the festive program - Olympic champion Yordan Yovchev, actor Vladimir Zombori, actor Kitodar Todorov, swimmer Tsanko Tsankov, as well as honorary citizens of Burgas - artist Dimo Kolibarov and actors Rusi Chanev and Dimitar Rachkov, joined the audience on stage at this event. All of them lit not only the Christmas tree, but also the festive glow, which illuminated the sky above Troika Square for several minutes.

"There is something wonderful that unites us - it is the love for our city," said Mayor Nikolov. He noted that this year Burgas has a record number of children, students and undergraduates in local kindergartens, schools and universities. "The younger our city is, the greater its future and prospects are," he said.

The host of the event was singer Raffi Bohosyan, who delighted the audience with his songs and covers of popular Bulgarian hits from the past and present. The concert will continue with a performance by Stefan Valdobrev and the band "The Usual Suspects".
